Fly to Nadi to meet group early Monday morning

Flights from Australia arrive in Nadi Fiji
You will be met at the Nadi International Airport by your leaders Shelia and Lavenia. They will be waiting just outside when you pass through customs. Shelia and Lavenia will accompany you throughout the scheduled itinerary.
Your evening is free so relax and have a casual dinner (at personal expense)

Departing from the airport we will travel for 3+ hours by modern, air conditioned, bus along the renowned Coral Coast to Uprising Resort an award winning, beachfront hotel.

Arrive at Uprising Resort and Check-in
You will have the opportunity to eat lunch (included in the program) and relax by the pool or explore the beach.
3:00pm
Meet for a group discussion of our program, examining what we each want to achieve and setting our expectations.
6:00pm

This morning we will travel another hour through the beautiful Fijian country side to the capital city Suva.
9.30am
On arrival at the Novotel Hotel we will check in and store our bags.
11:30am
A visit the National Museum of Fiji to learn more about this fascinating country
1.30pm
Following lunch (included in the program) in a local restaurant we will take a walking tour of the market area in Suva. Be it fresh produce, fish or souvenirs you will find it here.
5.00pm
Meet with some local Fijians to have a more formal discussion and get some answers to your questions about life in Fiji.
Your evening is free so relax and have a casual dinner (at personal expense)

Hot Breakfast at the Novotel restaurant – Included in the program

Departure for our trip to a remote mountain village called Sote Village. We will be picked up from our hotel and taken to Nasouri town and given the opportunity to have a look around and shop for snacks before we depart in the village vehicle, a truck/troop carrier which is the only transportation used for Sote Village.
All meals while we are at the village will be provided by the local people. It will be basic, traditional Fijian food which consists of fresh produce and a variety of meats and curries.
11:00am
On arrival in the Village there will be a traditional welcome ceremony and a short tour of the Village and school.
1:00pm
Commencement of our service project. This project will be decided by Shelia and Lavenia based on the expertise of the participants and the needs of the village. We envisage more than one project.
6:00pm
Dinner will be provided for participants in individual homes this evening. Two participants per home.

While at the village we will sleep on blow up mattresses in a private house, however, sleeping is communal in a large room.

We will continue with our projects today

A communal Dinner will be provided. Following dinner the village will hold a Meke (a cultural song and dance show) for us. The villagers love to entertain and will dance for as long as we want to stay.

Formal Presentation to Village and a farewell ceremony

Leave the village.

Stop in Nasouri town for 1 hour of shopping and we will travel directly to the Suva airport

Departure on a flight direct to Nadi arriving at 5:00pm and transfer to the Tanoa International.

Taxi to Denarau Island to catch the Ferry.
9:00am
Ferry departs to take us out to Beachcomber Island Resort, a beautiful island resort in the Mamanuca Island group.
Snorkel and swim in the stunning waters.
12.30am
Lunch at your leisure included in the program
4.30pm
Wrap up and discussion of our projects and village visit.
7:00pm
Farewell Dinner tonight to relive the highlights of the week and say goodbye to our new found friends and beautiful Fiji.

Spend the day on the island swimming, snorkelling or just relaxing.
3:50pm
Depart on the last ferry back to Nadi arriving at 6pm.
We will transfer you to the Nadi Airport to check in for your 8:40pm flight home to the Australia.
